As a Solo Developer I have spent several years thinking about developing a game like this. I have always been inspired by Card Games and felt that my story for Melovar was ready to come about.
The Inspiration
The world of Melovar's Tale was born from a deep love of card games and roguelike deckbuilders. The character of Lord Melovar has been in development for years — his backstory, his lore, the realm of Stormgale Mountain, and the conflict with the forces of darkness were all meticulously crafted long before a single line of code was written.
Every card, every relic, and every enemy encounter has been designed with intention. The goal was never to create just another card game, but to build a world that players could lose themselves in — where every run tells a story and every decision matters.

His eyes, piercing blue, matching the power and intensity of the Dragonflames around his armour. A calm and calculated individual — firm but fair. The fierce leader of Stormgale Mountain who would do anything to protect his people.
